Laptop Desks for Internet CafesLaptops have made accessing your important files, working on projects, or just playing games something you can do in any given location.  No matter where you are, you can take out your laptop and still be either productive or entertained.  In addition to just using your laptop, you can now browse the internet without the frustration of cables.

There are many public locations that offer you free wireless internet services, such as hotels, libraries, schools, and restaurants.  One of most common types of restaurants that fits this bill are internet cafes.  Internet cafes are great because they usually let your stay as long as you’d like sipping your coffee and performing work on the internet.

When used for a long time, laptops can become very hot, or uncomfortable to actually keep in your lap.  Why not provide yourself with some comfort and convenience by using a laptop desk?  A laptop desk lets you easily stand your laptop so that you remain in your seat and enjoy the atmosphere of the cafe.  When you don’t have to worry about your laptop getting too warm, or it falling off your lap, you can get more invested in your work.

gadgetAs you might have guessed, here at LapWorks we’re always interested in the latest and greatest pieces of technology out on the market. We want to keep our finger on the pulse of the latest gadgets so we can be sure we’re keeping our laptop desks and stands up to date.  It’s easy to fall behind on the latest gadgets, but we found that the site is a huge help.

A New Year, A New You!

118151_yogaNow that we’re almost halfway through January, we hope you’ve figured out what your New Year’s resolutions will be! Here at Lap Works, we’ve resolved to continue to innovate and bring you the newest and most cutting edge laptop desk solutions. We’ve also resolved to be more healthy versions of ourselves, through improved ergonomics and better workday habits. Since that’s probably a common resolution for all of you, here are some of the small ways we’ve found improve ourselves:

  • Take a walk – it’s good to get up from your desk every so often, just to stretch your legs. But if you can carve 10 minutes out of your lunch for a short walk, or take a stroll through the neighborhood before or after work, it can help stretch muscles and let you unwind after a long day.
  • Stretch – yoga is a wonderful way to build strength and stretch out your muscles. Try a class once a week to help improve your posture.
  • Adjust your monitor – your computer monitor should be no more than 20 inches close to your face. You should have it set up so the top of the monitor is at eye level in order to minimize your eye strain.
